Sweat Pants — Adult/Teen Fitness and Self-Defense

Current Schedule: Mon/Wed/Fri, 9-10 AM; Mon/Wed 6 -7 PM

Villari’s Self-Defense Center in Mashpee is pleased to offer the Sweat Pants Club! If you are interested in learning the basics of self-defense, if you’re interested in an introduction to karate, if you’re interested in working out in a non-competitive environment, then this program is what you’re looking for.  We offer a continuous-enrollment style program that focuses on self-defense and practical techniques rather then traditional introductory material.  At any time, a student can transition into a more traditional curriculum, or they can continue in this less formal program.

Weapons

Current Schedule: By Appointment

Weapons training has always been a traditional part of the martial artists experience.  For intermediate and advanced students that show commitment to their regular material, weapons training is used to expand their understanding of what the martial arts is all about.  Initial lessons focus on forms and drills.  Advanced weapons training involves for partner and sparring exercises.  Additional equipment is required for weapons training.

Sport Karate

Current Schedule: Thursday 6:15 – 7 PM

These high energy classes are for those looking to compete in tournaments or just looking to excel in sparring, forms, and weapons.  Experience in the sparring rings against different opponents will hone a martial artists skills in a way that no other exercise can.

Private Lessons & Classes

Private Lessons: One-on-one time with a certified instructor is a great way to iron out the last problem areas before a test, before a tournament, or to make up time missed.

Additional class time can be used in place of regular classes if scheduling conflicts can not be resolved any other way.

Private Classes: For those with unusual or irregular work schedules, a regular curriculum of material can be set up during certain times of the week.  See one of the instructors for details.
